Tinkergarten- Where kids learn through play. Learn more
Get ready for Spring Tinkergarten! Spring is the perfect time to get outside and watch nature wake up from winter! There is so much to explore as all the plants and animals come back to life. Never mind how good it feels to get back outside! This Spring we will focus on building empathy in our little explorers! Empathy is the special human superpower that we use to understand our emotions and see the world through other people’s eyes.
Tinkergarten classes take place in open green spaces and engage children in activities that foster a sense of joy and wonder, all while developing important skills. Each class follows a loose structure that includes an opening circle, main activity, closing circle and snack. The main activity focuses on open-ended exploration and play where kids actively engage in imagining, exploring nature and problem solving. Play is learning and in class we honor our children’s natural abilities to play. Adult participants learn to foster and support the children’s exploration along the way.
